some say salt makes you thirsty, others say pepper makes it spicy. We want to make you thirsty for our well-flavoured program. Puppet and figure theatre are our favourite dish.
Having fun is the most important thing when it comes to deal with stories and different material.
This forms the basis for our productions, which are played in our own theatre or on tour all over Europe.
Our plays deal with emancipatory topics, always trying to sample new forms of playing.
They show life the way it is, the way one dreams it and the way it could not get any better.

Theater Comic “Du schon wieder“
How does a comic strip become a play? Is it possible to perform a comic strip? Theater Salz + Pfeffer connect these seemingly contradicting types of entertainment to create a spectacular and rapid show about the challenging friendship of two different characters, Rocki and Fredo.

The Extraordinary Life of Hilletje Jans
Holland during the 18th century: the life of the eight-year-old orphan Hilletje is not at all easy. With nowhere to go, she ends up with her aunt Theresa, owner of a run-down tavern, who promptly blames Hilletje for a murder which she did not commit. Actually Olaf is a very normal moose. He walks around the forest, munches mushrooms and cranberries, and in his spare time he scares motorists. Zapperdockel is yellow, tiny, unsure and a crybaby. Wock is blue, fat and grumpy. But that's the way they are. Is there still a chance that both get along with each other? "The Zapperdockel and the Wock" is the touching story of the beginning of a friendship between two creatures that couldn't be more different from each other.
